Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and Volleyengine LLC. They apply whenever you use VolleyEngine. If you don’t agree to them, please don’t use VolleyEngine.
Joining VolleyEngine is free. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t run targeted ads inside VolleyEngine.
Our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Policy explain how we collect, use and delete information. They apply alongside these Terms.
1. The service
VolleyEngine helps volleyball athletes present recruiting information and connect with verified college recruiters. Volleyengine LLC operates the service. We do not guarantee recruitment, admission, playing time, a roster position, a scholarship or an offer. Schools, athletic organizations and users remain responsible for their own eligibility and recruiting decisions.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Athlete accounts are intended for people aged 13 through 21. Children under 13 may not register. Provide accurate age, identity and role information and keep it current. Athletes under 18 must provide the parent or guardian information requested by the service and involve that adult as required by applicable law and our enrollment process. Merely entering an adult's email address does not make that person legally responsible for all account activity. If you act for a college, you must have authority to do so.
Use your real name and keep only one account. You may not use VolleyEngine if you have been convicted of a sex offense, or if we closed your account for breaking these Terms, unless we give you permission to return.
3. Account responsibility
Keep your sign-in credentials private, use only your own authorized account, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may request information reasonably needed to verify your role or handle a report. Verification indicates completion of our review process; it is not a background check, endorsement or guarantee of future conduct.
4. Profile visibility and contact
Your approved share link can be viewed without an account and may show your full name, photo and selected recruiting information. In-platform visibility and protected contact access follow the permissions described in our Privacy Policy. A qualifying recruiter can access protected contact information only after the required connection approval. Revoking a connection stops future platform access where the rules require it, but cannot retrieve information already copied outside the service. Parent notices describe relevant account or connection events; they do not guarantee that the recipient reads or receives every message.
5. Your content and our permission
You retain ownership of your photos, text and other original content. You give Volleyengine LLC permission to store, reproduce, resize, display and transmit that content only as reasonably needed to operate the service, honor your visibility choices, provide support, and address safety or legal obligations. Service providers may exercise that permission only for those purposes. You must have the rights and permission needed for uploaded photos, music, film, names and other third-party material. Permission for ordinary display ends when content is removed, subject to the retention exceptions in the Privacy Policy. Promotional use of an athlete's likeness beyond operating their profile requires separate permission.
6. Acceptable conduct
Do not impersonate others, misrepresent credentials, harass, threaten, exploit minors, post unlawful intimate imagery, or share another person's private information without authority. Do not scrape or sell athlete information, bypass contact restrictions, access accounts without permission, introduce malicious code, or interfere with the service. Use recruiting information only for legitimate purposes consistent with the user's choices and applicable rules. Do not publish private contact information in fields intended for public display. Do not send spam or make false reports.
7. Reports and enforcement
Use the reporting tools or support@volleyengine.com to report unsafe conduct, impersonation, privacy concerns or infringing content. We may limit visibility, remove content, suspend access or close an account when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or comply with law. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the action and allow you to ask for review. We may act without advance notice where notice could increase harm or compromise an investigation. We do not promise continuous monitoring of every interaction.
8. Urgent and copyright requests
For urgent danger contact emergency services as well as reporting to us. For an intimate-image removal request, identify the location of the material and provide a way to contact you; do not send additional copies of suspected illegal imagery. Copyright complaints should identify the protected work, the disputed material and your authority to complain. Send these requests to support@volleyengine.com.
9. Third-party services
Film players, linked websites and communications outside VolleyEngine are operated by others. Their own terms and privacy practices apply. We do not control an external site's availability, statements or actions. No statement here limits responsibilities that law places on Volleyengine LLC itself.
10. Charges
VolleyEngine does not currently charge for any feature. If we later offer a paid service, we will disclose the price, renewal, cancellation, refund and tax terms before you agree to the charge. A user will not become liable for an undisclosed fee simply by continuing to use an existing free account.
11. Deletion and availability
You may request account deletion through settings or support. The process, cancellation period and limited retention exceptions are described in the data-deletion policy. We may change or discontinue features with appropriate notice where feasible and required. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and maintenance or third-party outages can affect access.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent applicable law permits, the service is provided as available without additional warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular recruiting outcome, or the accuracy of user-supplied material. We do not control what other users say or do, on or off VolleyEngine, and we are not responsible for their conduct. To that same extent, Volleyengine LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. To that same extent, Volleyengine LLC’s total liability is limited to the greater of USD 100 or the amounts you paid us for the service in the preceding 12 months. No exclusion or cap applies where prohibited by law, including liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing waives mandatory consumer rights or excuses intentional misconduct or other non-excludable conduct.
13. Organizational users
To the extent permitted by law, a college using the service agrees to cover third-party claims and reasonable defense costs caused by its unlawful use, infringement or material breach of these Terms. This provision does not require a minor athlete or parent to indemnify the business and does not cover Volleyengine LLC's own unlawful conduct.
14. Disputes and changes
Contact support@volleyengine.com to try to resolve a concern. Texas law governs to the extent it can lawfully do so, without removing mandatory protections of a user's home jurisdiction. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver. Material changes will be communicated with an effective date and any acceptance required by law. If you don’t agree to updated Terms, you can stop using VolleyEngine and delete your account. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent lawful.
If we don’t enforce part of these Terms right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your account or these Terms to anyone else without our permission. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
15. Coach invitations
- A high school coach can give us the names and email addresses of players they coach, so we can invite those players to VolleyEngine.
- Add only players you coach, using an email address they or their parent or guardian gave you. Do not add anyone who has asked not to be contacted.
- We review every list and decide when invitations are sent. Each player receives one invitation in your name. We may choose not to send an invitation.
- An invitation is only an invitation. Nothing is created for a player unless they choose to register. Every registration goes through verification, and a parent or guardian is notified for players under 18.
- We use the names and emails you give us only to send these invitations. Your list is never shown to other coaches. To have your list removed, write to support@volleyengine.com.
